Throughout the whole process, I felt safe and seen by Ioannis and all the staff members at Pines Hospital. I had a consultation with a different surgeon first, and I am incredibly glad that I chose to also see Ioannis. He did a great job from the consultation to the post-surgery check-up appointment.

My experience with Dr Ioannis Ntanos was amazing from the very first time I contacted him to the second I left my post-op appointment. The email replies were quick and he always answered any questions or concerns I had. I found I got offered appointment dates and surgery dates quickly which was amazing considering the general current wait times. My time at the hospital was perfect, Dr Ntanos was welcoming, kind and explained everything in detail. He was quick at marking up my chest which was nice, and thoroughly made sure that no nurses came into the room whilst this was happening. My results are absolutely amazing I couldn’t be happier and I couldn’t thank him enough. Dr Ntanos is an incredible surgeon and kind person, with an amazing team behind him too.

I had double incision top surgery with Ntanos a few weeks ago and could not be more happy with the results. He did amazing work giving me the exact incision style and nipple placement that I wanted and overall surgery with him at the pines hospital was great! Ntanos and all the nurses and hospital staff were lovely and even though this was my first ever surgery I felt completely safe and in good hands during the whole process. From the consultation throughout surgery to my recovery Mr Ntanos gave me all the information I needed and was super clear and communicative with how he does top surgery and what I need to know for healing my chest, and I would highly recommend him for top surgery.

Dr Ioannis Ntanos is a consultant gender affirming surgeon with a background in breast surgery and holds a degree in healthcare ethics and the law.
He is actively involved in advocating for human rights and the need for reforming healthcare.
He has been named doctor of the year in 2019 for his hospital and is the former lead of NMGH chest wall contouring unit (2019-2022).
He completed his MBA in 2021 with a thesis focusing on the providers of gender affirming care in the UK.
